Abstract: The ability to calibrate phased array antennas by utilising the mutual coupling method (MCM), which takes
advantage of the mutual coupling effect between adjacent elements, is addressed.This paper has shown that the MCM calibration technique is very sensitive to faulty elements because of the error propagation effect to the following elements.
