This technique can be applied to dielectric objects in a similar
manner. For instance, let us suppose that we want to perceive
an anisotropic metamaterial-coated PEC object as if it is a dielectric
object with arbitrary pemittivity . We may consider the
same geometry as in F igure 2b, assuming that the elliptical object is  diel ectric. In this case, the coordinate transfonnation in Equation
(1 9) is used to map the metamaterial region to the entire
region, with only the exception that if the transfonned coordinates
reside within the diel ectric object (in On), the pennittivity of the
anisotropic metamaterial layer is computed via Equation (Sa).
This
reduces to Equation (2a) if the dielectric is homogeneous with
pennittivity。
