国立中山大学翁金辂教授简介:
刚做手机天线这一行的时候,培训时的资料里有一本资料-《Planar Antennas for Wireless Communications》,作者是Wong Kin Lu(翁金辂)。从此就记下了这个名字。书中详细阐述了PIFA天线、Monopole天线、基于蜂窝系统的天线、应用于无线局域网的天线等目前主流的小型平面天线的种类,原理与应用,集专业性与实用性于一身,对于从事相关行业的工程师而言无疑是经典之作。许多知名微波技术、天线行业的论坛和网站都能看到关于这本书踪迹和影响。后来在搜索和了解翁教授的详细情况后,才知道这是一位天线界的大师级学者,从此对其倍加敬重和推崇,乃至最终成为翁教授的忠实拥趸:)

翁金辂

IEEE会士,台湾国立中山大学学术副校长,学术研究处学研长,工学院电机工程系电波组教授,国立中山大学天线实验室负责人。1981年毕业于国立台湾大学,获电子工程学士学位。1984年、1986年分别获得美国德州理工大学硕士学位、博士学位。主要学术领域为电磁理论、天线工程,主要研究方向有小型宽带微带天线、贴片天线,应用于无线通讯的平面天线及非平面天线,手机隐藏式天线设计,无线局域网天线设计等。

从1986年至1987年,他以客座研究员的身份在德国慕尼黑的马克思·普朗克研究所从事等离子物理研究。从1987年起,他在台湾国立中山大学电机工程系工作,并于1991年晋升教授。从1994年至1997年,他还被聘为国立中山大学电机工程系主任。从1998年至1999年,他在美国俄亥俄州哥伦比亚市的俄州州立大学的电子科学实验室做访问学者。他已经发表了超过260篇的期刊论文和大量会议论文,并且培养了33位博士,拥有51项专利和许多待申请专利。同时他还是Design of Nonplanar Microstrip Antennas and Transmission Lines (纽约:Wiley出版, 1999),Compact and Broadband Microstrip Antennas (纽约: Wiley出版, 2002),以及Planar Antennas for Wireless Communications (纽约: Wiley出版, 2003)的作者。

翁金辂于1990年起为配合现代通讯产业发展,开始研究平面天线理论及应用设计,迄今已有16年之研究经验,为该领域之研究先驱,在中山大学所建立之天线实验室研究团队目前已是国际上在平面天线应用于无线通讯之研究领域的主要领先者之一。2004至2005年中统计资料显示,中山大学以36篇的论文数,成为全球无线区域网路SCI论文数最多的学校,其中翁金辂发表有21篇,为全球发表该领域SCI论文最多之作者。翁金辂的学生除了在多家主要无线通讯公司担任天线设计及研发部门主管之外,亦有工研院电通所天线部门经理等主管,各大学系主任、所长、工学院院长等学术及行政职务。

翁金辂分别于1994年,2000年和2002年获得中华民国国家科学委员会授予的杰出研究奖。他还于1993年获得国际科学无线电学联合会(URSI)授予的年轻科学家奖,1998年获中国电机工程学会授予的优秀年轻电子工程师奖,其编写的《微带天线实验》于同年获中华民国教育部授予的优秀教材,1994年和2000年获国立中山大学授予的杰出研究奖。由于他的一篇发表论文被频繁引用,于2001年获得ISI引用经典论文奖。他担任IEEE微波理论与技术会刊(IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques),微波和光学技术快报(Microwave and Optical Technology Letters)的编委。他是中华民国国际科学无线电学联合会国家委员会委员,以及中国电机工程学会会员,并且还担任中华民国微波学会理事。他被载入中华民国名人录和马奎斯世界名人录(Marquis Who's Who in the World)

Kin-Lu Wong received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Texas Tech University, Lubbock, Texas, USA, in 1981, 1984, and 1986, respectively. From 1986 to 1987, he was a visiting scientist with Max-Planck-Institute for Plasma Physics in Munich, Germany. Since 1987 he has been with the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Sun Yat-Sen University (NSYSU), Kaohsiung, Taiwan, where he became a Professor in 1991. In 2005, Prof. Wong was elected to be Sun Yat-sen Chair Professor of National Sun Yat-Sen University. He also served as Chairman of the Electrical Engineering Department from 1994 to 1997, Dean of the Office of Research Affairs at the same university from 2005 to 2007, and now as Vice President for Academic Affairs. From 1998 to 1999, he was a Visiting Scholar with the ElectroScience Laboratory, The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio, USA. He has published more than 410 refereed journal papers and numerous conference articles and has graduated 42 PhD students. He also holds 20 U.S. patents and 120 Taiwan patents and has many patents pending. He is the author of Design of Nonplanar Microstrip Antennas and Transmission Lines (New York: Wiley, 1999), Compact and Broadband Microstrip Antennas (New York: Wiley, 2002), and Planar Antennas for Wireless Communication (New York: Wiley, 2003). Dr. Wong is a Fellow of the IEEE and received the Outstanding Research Award three times from National Science Council of Taiwan in 1994, 2000 and 2002, and was elevated to be a Distinguished Research Fellow of National Science Council of Taiwan in 2005. He also received the Young Scientist Award from URSI in 1993, the Outstanding Research Award from National Sun Yat-Sen University in 1994 and 2000, the Outstanding Textbook Award for Microstrip Antenna Experiment (in Chinese) from Ministry of Education of Taiwan in 1998, the ISI Citation Classic Award for a published paper highly cited in the field in 2001, the Outstanding Electrical Engineer Professor Award from Institute of Electrical Engineers of Taiwan in 2003, and the Outstanding Engineering Professor Award from Institute of Engineers of Taiwan in 2004. Dr. Wong has been on the editorial board of the IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, and Chinese Journal of Radio Science (China). He is a member of the National Committee of Taiwan for URSI, Microwave Society of Taiwan, Institute of Electrical Engineers of Taiwan, and Institute of Engineers of Taiwan. He has also been on the Board of Directors of the Microwave Society of Taiwan. He is listed in Who's Who of the Republic of China (Taiwan) and Marquis Who's Who in the World.

太崇拜翁教授了,学者一样可以成为偶像,我就是翁教授的忠实fans:)
天线界的大师很多都已步入晚年了,将是一大损失

PS:看来翁教授也是对自己的《Planar Antennas for Wireless Communications》最推崇,照相时手里拿着的都是这本书。哈哈。
